Helping Clients Work and Live with Intention and Purpose to Create Exceptional Results

Andy Nelson has led teams – and coached teams and individuals – at four different Fortune 150 companies over the past several years, including 16 years at Target Corporation. He coaches to help clients work and live with intention and purpose, creating even better results than they expect.

Andy has led, managed, and mentored his own global IT teams of up to 40 people. He enjoys helping lead talent development initiatives, including his recent participation as a Board of Advisors member for UHG’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), in addition to his primary UHG role as an IT Delivery Director for the Government Provider Technologies (Medicare & Medicaid) team.

His coaching areas of focus include self-management, utilizing resources, cultivating team engagement, growth mindset, and resilience and resourcefulness. Andy approaches each client as a resourceful and capable individual, yet he guides the coaching process with a consistent and varied set of tools used to evoke deep awareness and learning, to uncover and achieve all that’s possible.

Clients who have worked with Andy in the past have recently returned for executive coaching. One such client, a VP of IT and CISO (Chief Information Security Officer), said “the [coaching] experience was nothing short of incredible. The reflection, encouragement, challenges, and insight Andy brought as I worked through my goals were powerful… Andy was masterful in invoking critical thinking and new reflections.” Another said, “After 10 minutes talking with Andy, I feel like I can take on the world.” (Digital Technology Leader), and “His coaching feels like gentle guidance, but calls you to your deepest challenges and your biggest self!” (Executive Coaching Leader, large retail firm).
